We currently meet every Monday night from 1830 - 2100 [6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.]. We are located at Tecumseh [very close to the former Children's Hospital]:

There are cadets from all quadrants of the city in our corps, and we also have cadets who come in from Strathmore and Cochrane. We welcome new cadets into the corps at any time. There are advantages to joining prior to the end of December.

2509 Signals was established in 1954. Here is a picture of the first flag for the corps.

In addition to the regular lessons and drill, the cadets all work towards going to summer training camp. This is usually the highlight of the year. Cadets are offered many different choices of camps and locations. They also really enjoy being paid when they are at camp! We support the Duke of Edinburgh Award Program. In the fall of 2007 we established a biathlon program. In 2008-2009 there will be many new programs added.

The last 2 years we supported some Canadian soldiers who were deployed to Afghanistan. We sent over packages to the soldiers and they really appreciated those packages and the correspondence with our corps. Whether we agree with the war or not, we support the men and women who are deployed.
